CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – Crews responded to a report of smoke from a mobile home overnight.
Fire Chief Thomas Doherty said fire crews responded to the call at around 9:25 p.m. in the 2500 block of Quinsam Road.
“On arrival, crews were met with the homeowner who had experienced a little bit of smoke inhalation,” Doherty said.
He added that after an investigation, the crew found out the mobile home had a faulty furnace, which caused the smoke.
There were no other injuries reported at the scene.
Doherty said the homeowner is safe and is able to get back into the mobile home. They have been advised to have a technician fix the furnace.
