Campbell River Mayor Andy Adams was one of two of the municipal representatives elected to the board of the Island Coastal Economic Trust (ICET) at the recent North Island Sunshine Coast Regional Advisory Committee meeting in Courtenay.

ICET is guided by a board of directors and two regional advisory committees, which include more than 50 locally elected officials and MLAs and five appointees to set regional funding priorities.

The $50 million Island Coastal Economic Trust was created by the Government of BC in 2006 to support economic development initiatives on central and northern Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.
