The Wounded Warrior Run capped off today, and it was a great success! Runners stopped at various communities on the North Island, including Campbell River, as part of their 6-day trek.

Along the way, they raised awareness on PTSD and the resources available to help Canadian veterans struggling with mental health issues.

The run’s Director, Ron Mireau, says they met people who are still reluctant to admit their inner battles.

He says the run’s message resonated strongly when they visited 442 Squadron in Comox.

He says that they raised more than $16,000 for Wounded Warriors Canada. You can find out more about the cause at woundedwarriorrunbc.com.
