CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – Residents may hear sirens near the dam in the next two weeks.
BC Hydro is testing its warning sirens around the John Hart facility along Campbell River.
According to spokesperson Stephen Watson, they may go off periodically. He said they hope this round of tests will be the final ones.Â
Watson added that the sirens do not have anything to do with water levels or releases, or any other unplanned events.Â
“We would like to thank the public that live near the river, and for walkers along the Canyon View Trail or up near Elk Falls, for their patience,” Watson wrote in a statement.
