Upgrades at 14th and Peterson debated- but going ahead

Council talked in circles Tuesday night about the $250,000 upgrades set to happen at the intersection of 14th and Peterson.

One area business owner came before council to oppose the, already approved, upgrades questioning their cost and effectiveness.

After councilors voiced their opinions on the intersection, councilor Ron Kerr suggested they leave the upgrade plan as is.

The upgrades include a traffic signal, sidewalks, turn lanes and street lighting.

Design was started last year and companies will soon be able to bid to do the work.
