RCMP, Crime Stoppers seeking public assistance after SoCal break-in

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – SoCal Restaurant and Lounge can’t seem to catch a break.

The popular local restaurant has been broken into on April 17th. Just in early January, the restaurant had one of their two mermaid figurines stolen. Before that, there was another incident in which another figurine was stolen.

The Campbell River RCMP and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Wednesday’s break-in suspect.

According to a release from Crime Stoppers, an individual forced their way into the restaurant in the early hours of Wednesday and stole some property. The incident was caught on surveillance.

The suspect fled shortly after, and likely had access to a car.

The RCMP are asking for any helpful tips that could help in solving the break-in. Should you have any information on the incident or the suspect, contact the Campbell River detachment at 250-286-6221. For anonymous tips, visit the Crime Stoppers website or call them at 1-800-222-8477.
