CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C – Local DJ Kristy Watkins has made it the semi-final rounds for Maxim’s Cover Girl contest.
Besides working as a DJ in and around the city, the Campbell River resident has also been modelling for various fashion outlets, including Ragdolz.

Watkins said that more than anything, she’s excited about the opportunity to get Campbell River – and Vancouver Island – on the map.
She is currently third out of the nine semi-finalists.
Watkins says if she wins the $10,000 she would “use it to further boost my education as in today’s society the more you know the better off you will be.”
