CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C – An investigation is now underway following a house fire.
Campbell River RCMP responded with the fire department to a house fire near 8th Avenue yesterday afternoon around 3:00pm.
Police confirm the residence had been unoccupied for some time, but there were recent reports of squatters coming and going from the home.
The RCMP was on scene throughout the night keeping watch on the property and fire investigators are set to visit the scene today to determine the cause of the fire.
