Police looking for suspect after thrift store armed robbery

The RCMP is investigating an armed robbery in Campbell River.

It happened yesterday at the Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop on 2nd Avenue. Police say officers responded to a hold-up alarm just before 11:00am.

The suspect used a knife to rob the cashier before making his getaway on a blue mountain bike. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, and about 5’10” with a thin build. He was wearing black pants with a black sweater or jacket, and light colour shoes.
