Get ready for 2020 with the Campbell River Food Bank calendar.
The calendars are now on sale and can be found in various businesses and organizations throughout the community.
Campbell River Food Bank manager Debbie Willis says residents can find the calendars at businesses along Shoppers Row. Other places include Joe’s Pharmacy, Willow’s Market, Coastal Community Credit Union in Willow Point, Campbell River Garden Centre, and Salmon Point Marina, among others.
“Thrifty Foods, Save On Foods… there’s quite an extensive area to find them,” Willis said.
The calendars are also available at the Campbell River Food Bank on Marwalk Crescent.
Willis adds the photos included in the calendar were all taken by local photographers, both professional and amateur.
“We’re just thrilled, it’s beautiful. It’s a lovely calendar. All of the photos are locations in Campbell River.”
She says the calendar is a good way to help the Food Bank and admire the city as well.
“These photos are unbelievable. There are shots of the pier in the fog, Discovery Harbour Marina at dusk with all the lights behind it – it’s just stunning. And for people to give us (the photos), it’s just phenomenal.”
“They’re lovely to send to family to say this is where we live. It’s just a very nice way to say hey, Campbell River’s pretty cool.”
Each calendar is $15 dollars.
