All proceeds from an upcoming Campbell River BBQ will go towards the Loonies for Loggers group.
Organized by Brandt Tractor, the BBQ is scheduled for Jan. 25th.
After discussing ways the company could show its support to those impacted by the forestry workers strike, Joel Penner, branch manager at Brandt Tractor, says a BBQ was the best option.
“We’re trying to find ways we can genuinely help out,” Penner says. “That’s really the only thing we’re trying to do with this, get our communities together and get everyone to help each other out. It’s certainly a time in need in the forestry industry.”
Those who attend can enjoy a hotdog or hamburger by donation.
The BBQ is rain or shine from 11:00 am till 4:00 pm at the Brandt Tractor parking lot, located at 1821 14th Ave.
