UPDATE: Power out in parts of Campbell River due to downed wire

UPDATE: Power has been restored to affected areas.

BC Hydro is reporting a power outage in Campbell River this afternoon due to a downed wire.

The outage is affecting just over 1600 customers in the area west of Dogwood St., North of Merecroft Rd., East of Brant Dr., South of 14th Ave.

BC Hydro crews are on scene working to restore power.
