Now is your chance to nominate a woman who is making a difference in the lives of others in the community.
The Campbell River and North Island Transition Society is seeking nominations for its annual ‘Women of Inspiration Award.’
“That can be a woman that you feel has done something really special or important for the community,” says Kate Broadhead, coordinator with the society. “Or, somebody who encompasses strength and empowerment.”
The recipient will receive the award at an International Women’s Day celebration on March 6th.
While celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, International Women’s Day is a global occasion that marks a call to action for advancing women’s equality.
Nomination forms for the ‘Women of Inspiration Award’ are now available online, at the Campbell River Women’s Resource Centre or at Transitions Thrift Store.
Once completed, forms can be dropped at either location or at the Rose Harbour office by Feb. 14th.
