Thieves break into business, steal thousands of dollars worth of power tools

The Campbell River RCMP is on the lookout for tool thieves.

A break-in at Western Equipment in the 1400 block of 16th Ave., resulted in the theft of thousands of dollars of tools and clothing.

Thieves got in by breaking through a concrete wall.

The break-in happened between the end of the business day last Friday, and when it was reported early Monday morning.

The bulk of the power tools stolen were Makita brand grinders, drills and saws.

A significant amount of Jet Brand wrenches were also taken, as well as multiple pairs of Viking Brand cork boots.

Police are requesting information from anyone that may have seen anything, has surveillance in the area, or has been approached to purchase new tools or equipment from a non-reputable source.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Campbell River RCMP at 250-286-6221.
