Road rage in Campbell River ends in assault of a senior

The Campbell River RCMP is investigating a road rage incident involving a senior.

It happened at roughly 7:30pm on March 16th on the Island Highway at Maryland Road.

The suspect, a Caucasian man in his 50s, left his small blue car and approached a man in his 80s at a stoplight. 

When the older man opened his window, the suspect allegedly hit him in the face.  

The RCMP wants to talk to anyone who may have witnessed the assault.

Police also believe there is a witness who has not come forward.
