Fire ban coming into effect for Black Creek, Oyster Bay

Those in Black Creek and Oyster Bay will soon be seeing a fire ban.

Open fire restrictions will start on April 1st.

This is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Campfires that are less than 50 centimetres used for heat, cooking or recreational purposes using firewood will still be allowed.

If you notice anyone violating this fire ban while it’s in effect, you’re asked to call the Oyster River Fire Department at (250) 830-7155.
