Campbell River RCMP reports two percent increase in files over 2019

Property crimes continue to be an issue in Campbell River.

The RCMP says this mainly exists as crimes of opportunity for would-be thieves because items left unattended or unlocked become easy targets.

The local force reminds you to be vigilant in locking up your valuables.

As of May 18th, the Campbell River RCMP has responded to 5787 files. 

So far this year, that marks a two percent increase over 2019.
