Those in the Granite Bay Park area of Quadra Island can expect a power outage next month.
BC Hydro says the planned outage will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd from 9:30am until 4:00pm as crews replace a power pole.
Electricity will be switched off temporarily and BC Hydro says the work is necessary to provide the most reliable service possible to its customers.
During this time, the utility provider is sending out a reminder to protect electrical devices from damage by turning off items such as lights, heaters and major appliances and unplugging all electrical equipment.
It also says elevators and garage doors may not work during the outage.
