A body has been found in the area around the northbound bridge over the Campbell River on Highway 19.
RCMP Constable Maury Tyre said police along with Campbell River Fire and BC Ambulance Service responded to an emergency report yesterday at around 1:00pm.
A local man was found dead in the area and a northbound lane was closed to investigate.
Tyre said there’s no indication of foul play in his death.
“We’d like to thank the public for taking extra care to ensure the safety of the people working on this investigation,” said Tyre.
The BC Coroners Service is now investigating.
