Campbell River RCMP seize fentanyl, meth in two separate cases

The Campbell River RCMP is reporting two sizable drug busts over a 10-day period.

The first happened on June 17th at 4:00pm, when members of the Campbell River Community Response Unit saw a man who looked to be packaging drugs for sale while sitting in Spirit Square. 

He was arrested with fentanyl, methamphetamine and methadose as well as the tools to package and weigh the drugs. 

The Campbell River man could be facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The second came on June 29th during a traffic stop on Willis Road.

Fentanyl, methamphetamine, several thousand dollars cash and an imitation handgun were seized from the vehicle. 

Two Campbell River residents could also be facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
