BC Ferries will soon be carrying out a site investigation at a proposed new ferry lay-by berth on Quadra Island.
It’s scheduled for July 8th and 9th at Quathiaski Cove.
This two-day work period includes the use of a marine rig with drilling equipment at the project site.
If you live in the adjacent area, you may hear construction noise from drilling activities and machinery.
BC Ferries says all work is scheduled during the day and efforts will be made to help minimize the noise.
Considering the current COVID-19 situation and to minimize the risks to Quadra Island residents, BC Ferries adds the work plan will limit all activities to the project site and crew members will stay overnight in Campbell River.
