Campbell River Fire Rescue commemorates 19th anniversary of 9/11 attacks

To commemorate the 19th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Campbell River Fire Rescue displayed the Canadian and American flags from its Tower 1 fire truck today.

The attacks saw nearly 3000 fatalities, including 26 Canadians, when four hijacked airliners crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Stonycreek Township.

It’s known as the single deadliest terrorist attack in human history and the single deadliest incident for firefighters and law enforcement officers in the history of the United States.
