Campbell River fire trucks sporting moustaches for Movember

Movember is underway, and the Campbell River Fire Department has clipped moustaches onto the front of its fire trucks to support the annual campaign.

For over 14 years, Movember participants have been growing moustaches and rallying for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

“We have been displaying moustaches on the fire trucks for the past six years, however, members have been supporting the cause since Movember began back in 2003,” says fire chief Thomas Doherty.

Through moustaches grown and conversations generated, Movember has welcomed over six million supporters and helped fund over 1,250 innovative men’s health projects globally. Nearly 300 of those are right here in Canada.

It’s not too late to participate or donate to the Movember campaign. Click here for more details.
