North Island MLA Claire Trevena says her private members bill aimed at getting ships used for the public, such as BC Ferries, built in BC is getting lots of positive response.
She hopes there will be another sitting of the legislature in the fall so that the bill can move on.
Trevena says she is getting backing from people in the ship building industry, unions and people looking for economic development in B.C.
