There have been numerous humpback, orca and even grey whale sightings this summer in Georgia Strait and around Howe Sound.
Caitlin Birdsall with the BC Ceteacean Sightings Network at the Vancouver Aquarium says humpback whale populations in particular have rebounded since commercial whaling ended in the north pacific.
Birdsall says it helps when people report sightings to the BC Ceteacean Sightings Network.
