Both sides in the current teachers contract dispute say they are looking for a resolution but so far that has not happened.
River News went and spoke to some local teachers at École Phoenix Middle School and asked how they are going to cope with the fact they are not being paid their salaries and the union’s strike fund is empty.
Teachers are saying they are disappointed and frustrated with the situation.
Representatives for teachers and the government are getting back to work at the bargaining table Wednesday, according to the union and ministry of education. Both sides met Tuesday afternoon, no word on what came out of that conversation or word of any progress being made on reaching a settlement.
