Holiday fun this Saturday at the Museum at Campbell River

Festive holiday fun abounds this weekend, all thanks to the Museum at Campbell River.

Locals are invited to the Museum’s Special Holiday Open House, set for this Saturday, Dec. 11, from 1 to 3 pm. Entry is free.

According to organizers, seasonal music will fill the air, courtesy of the String Beans, with Tony Fantillo on accordion and Jim Chisolm singing and playing carols.

As well, The Festival of Trees will be open for viewing. It’s an experience Museum promotions coordinator Erika Anderson calls magical.

“You don’t have to spend any money; you can enjoy yourself and relax. Listen to some music, enjoy the sparkly lights,” Anderson told My Campbell River Now.

Santa and a friendly elf will make an appearance at 2 pm, and the galleries will be open and decorated.

No registration is needed; however, visitors 12 and up must show proof of vaccination as per the provincial health order, the Museum adds.
