The tiny village of Gold River is the only area on Vancouver Island experiencing a power outage, according to BC Hydro.
The company says the power south of Nimpkish Dr., east of CPFP Logging Rd., north of Muchalat Dr. and west of Trumpeter Dr. went out at 1:35 pm today (Thursday), leaving about 112 customers in the dark.
The cause of the outage is currently under investigation, but BC Hydro says crews are on site working on getting the power restored.
