Facebook group pinpoints Christmas displays around Campbell River

Christmas is just days away and what better way to celebrate than by viewing some of the dazzling light displays throughout Campbell River.

Locally, the Facebook group Campbell River Christmas Light Displays is packed with posts from residents sharing photos and locations of festive displays across the city.

Meanwhile, farther south, a Whoville-themed Christmas light tour is now in its final days. Put on by a local family and located on Terrain Rd., across from Oyster River School, it’s open from 5:30 to 8:30 pm until Dec. 24. Entry is by donation.

And in Courtenay, that city’s Christmas Lights Tour interactive mapping application allows users to submit and view decorated houses around Courtenay, Cumberland and Comox.

Locals can submit their own house to the map by clicking the submit button and filling out the corresponding form, with entries reviewed and added to the map within 48 hours.
