Recent heavy snowfall and poor road conditions are impacting garbage collection in Campbell River.
According to the city, Emterra has cancelled today’s (Jan. 6) curbside collection. This means those residing within Zone 3 won’t have their garbage collected until next week.

Emterra apologizes for the inconvenience, the city says, with crews collecting two cans of garbage next Thursday, Jan. 13, to make up for the missed day.
The city also reminds locals that recycling is unlimited, noting boxes cannot have a wax coating. It encourages people to empty boxes and flatten large corrugated boxes.
