Thursday power outage hits Campbell River

This wintry day in Campbell River has left some without power.

A total of 1,593 local properties on the north side of town, north of Kolus Row and east of Snowden Rd., have been without electricity since 2:30 this afternoon, Jan. 6.

According to BC Hydro, a tree down across its wires is to blame. It says crews are now on-site working to get the power restored.
