It was an interesting August for BC Hydro crews and water flows on the Island.
BC Hydro spokesperson Stephen Watson says drought conditions hit the Campbell River water system hard…but crews have been able to maintain the area for fish habitats.
Watson says the main concern is the Quinsam River.
Now in the Comox Valley, he says recent rain has helped but the dry conditions have had an effect.
Watson adds BC Hydro continues to monitor water flows and make sure levels are appropriate for fish habitats.
