Man with ‘good intentions’ interferes with traffic controllers at BC Ferries terminal

RCMP in Campbell River say a man with good intentions was interfering with traffic controllers at a BC Ferries terminal.

Officers say they were called on August 10 by BC Ferries, requesting assistance with a man trying to do the traffic controllers’ jobs.

The man was not employed by BC Ferries, but RCMP say he had taken it upon himself to assist with the long lineups to avoid a collision.

While they say the man had good intentions and was “honestly trying to keep motorists safe”, he was asked to stop and let ferry staff do their jobs.

Officers say the volunteer was argumentative at first but then agreed to leave after it was explained he could not be there.
