Last year the City of Campbell River paid over $15,000,000 in staff salaries including the mayor and city council.
Specific salaries over $75,000 are part of the 2013 annual review. Some of the highest paid are the City Manager at over $175,000 and the Fire Chief at $139,000.
Andy Laidlaw, the city manager, says they keep their salaries competitive.
The city is required by the Province to publish salaries over $75,000.
