Drugs, firearms seized in Campbell River search warrant: RCMP

Campbell River RCMP say they seized multiple weapons and drugs from a home that has previously been the site of suspected overdose deaths.

Officers say they carried out the warrant at a home on Ebert Road on March 16. They say they found over $3,000 in cash, 17 grams of crack cocaine, four grams of cocaine, 13 grams of fentanyl, 316 hydromorphone pills and several other prescription pills.

Numerous weapons including two prohibited weapons, a replica firearm and ammunition were also seized, according to police.

A 66-year-old woman from Campbell River and a 27-year-old man from the Lower Mainland were arrested and released with court dates scheduled in June. Officers add four suspected overdose deaths have happened at the home since 2017.

RCMP say if you would like to report ongoing illegal activity in Campbell River to call them at 205-286-6221.
