A magnitude 6.2 earthquake has occurred off the west coast of Vancouver Island.
The US Geological Survey says the quake was located in the Pacific Ocean 211 kilometres south west of Port McNeill at 8:55 this morning at a depth of 11 kilometres.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has not issued a tsunami advisory or watch at this time.
