52,000 kilograms of garbage was cleaned out of the Campbell River watershed last week.
The annual watershed cleanup was a great success with all the volunteers that came out, but the city wants to remind people not to use the watershed as their dumping zone.
In order to maintain clean drinking water for everyone, disposing our waste in the proper places is key.
The recycling bins at Strathcona Gardens and the Sportplex, the Campbell River Waste Management Centre and curbside pick up are all options for these unwanted items in the city.
