Expectations are high for this years salmon return, and Andrew Thomson, South Coast BC Director for Fisheries and Oceans Canada, says the forecasts are good.
Thomson says they are already hearing about some great salmon fishing here in Campbell River.
Thomson says the Sockeye test fishery is just happening now so they have not seen the numbers yet, but expectations for Fraser River bound Sockeye are high.
