Coastal Community Credit Union branches on Sointula, Alert Bay and Cortes Islands have all had their last day.
Chief Community and marketing officer with Coastal Community, Joe Christiano, says their operations, including ATMs on the islands have been shut down.
He says they have opened a call center to help serve people affected.
A group of residents on each of the Islands had protested the closure and collected signatures hoping the bank’s board of directors would take another look at the decision.
