Kidney Walks set to go on Vancouver Island

So did you know, according to the BC Branch of the Canadian Kidney Foundation, that 1 out of 10 British Columbians suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease. Telling stats like that are why the foundation is holding 25 Kidney Walks in communities around the province, including six on Vancouver Island.

Barb Valentine is with the foundation, and says its all about raising awareness on organ donation, as well as clearing up some myths, and misconceptions about the disease.

Valentine says this is a comprehensive multi-pronged campaign, officially launched this week in Nanaimo.

Campbell River and Comox Valley Kidney Walks will be held in September.
