The Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue is recruiting volunteers this coming year.
The team consist of 60 men and women who will gain skills in water, rope, and avalanche rescue as well as tracking and K-9 search management.
Search Manager Paul Berry says they need people who have a strong sense of commitment to the team and who are willing to work together.
The Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue will be hosting an information session on Thursday, January 14 at 7 p.m.
