The Campbell River Literacy Association recently received a $1000 donation from the Christian Labour Association of Canada.
The Literacy Centre spokesperson Sherry Bujold says you can apply to get the funding every couple of years, and they are excited they received the grant for a second time now.
The Literacy Centre provides one-on-one tutoring for anyone over the age of 19 who wants to become a better reader, or wants help in their continuing education.
Bujold says they are always looking for volunteers, and if you would like to get involved, contact the Robron Centre.
