Workers have started chipping away at the huge John Hart project.
BC Hydro’s Stephen Watson says this first phase is going well.
The local project is set to create jobs for locals, and Watson says the project is in an agreement with local unions.
He says they have forwarded an overview to local employment offices and the chamber of commerce.
Watson says this fall when blasting starts the project will operate more like a mining site.
