BC Ferries is getting set to launch full service of its new cable ferry.
The Baynes Sound Connector runs service between Buckley Bay and Denman Island.
Captain Jamie Marshall of BC Ferries says with the new ferry beginning service soon, they don’t plan on fully retiring the vessel it’s replacing the Quinitsa.
Marshall says the Baynes Sound Connector is the most technologically advanced cable ferry in the country.
Full service will start up in February with ‘soft sailings’ starting Friday.
