Fire fighters are working to put out a North Island forest fire

Fire fighters from the Coastal Fire Center continue to work on a 60 hectare forest fire on the North Island.
Fire information officer Marg Drysdale says they are calling it the Nimkish fire.

She says crews have been working on it for days already, and the cause hasn’t been established.

Drysdale says Tuesday 10 fire fighters and two helicopters were working on the fire.
