99.7 THE RIVER is proud to support the 49th annual Knights of Columbus Christmas Hamper Fund! Helping to make the holidays brighter for those who need a hand up.HAMPER REGISTRATION FORMS –
• Deadline for completion is December 8th or when 1075 registrations have been
reached, whichever comes first.
• Available at: The income Assistance Ministry at the corner of 14th Ave and
Greenwood, the Campbell River Food Bank, Monday to Friday during business
hours.
• All completed registration forms must be placed in the decorated box on the
table in the Income Assistance Ministry office. This is the only location to
submit completed registration forms.
DONATION OFFICE:
• The office to accept money, non-perishable food and new toys is in the Coast
Discovery Inn in a storefront facing the Tyee Plaza parking lot.
• In November the office is open between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Saturday
inclusive. In December the hours are 10am until 5pm until delivery day.
• temporary receipt for cash or cheque is given at time of donation
• official tax receipts for Income Tax will be mailed in January 2023
• official tax receipts are not given for toys or donated food
DELIVERY DATE – Saturday, December 17th in Campbell River.
VOLUNTEERS:
• Hamper delivery day is Saturday, December 17th. Help will be required by some
to build the hampers and then others to deliver them. The work starts at 8am and
is generally done by 2pm. You may volunteer for as long as you wish.
• The hamper depot is north of town off highway 19A. Turn left onto Duncan Bay
Road, a quick left onto Middle Point Road and a final left onto Midport Road.
The depot is on the left.
UNDELIVERED HAMPERS – must be picked up from the Hamper Fund Office in
the Coast Discovery Inn on Sunday, December 18th. If possible they will be phoned.
LATE REGISTRATIONS – will be phoned about 1:00pm on Sunday, December 18th
if there was enough food available for them to get a hamper. They have to come to the
Hamper Fund Office in the Coast Discovery Inn on that day to get the hamper if they
get a phone call.
