STRIDE TO TURN THE TIDE

HILDA SHILLIDAY MEMORIAL STRIDE. May 1st through May14th. $20 RegistrationGrandmothers to Grandmothers are on the move this spring in this year’s Stride to Turn the Tide of HIV and AIDS in sub Saharan Africa and will be asking you to consider a pledge to this campaign. This can be done in person or online.
This year we are remembering our G2G member Hilda, who passed away recently at the age of 93. You can see her at the front of this “stride” photo taken last year. She was not held back in her convictions to ease the struggles of others and therefore gave us great inspiration to do the same.
It is easy for you to participate as well. Include your daily activities done May 1st through 14th. Watch for a couple of special events to be announced.
Though we might think of a stride as a step or walking there are many activities that can be done. Do you bicycle, dance, garden, golf, do housecleaning, kayak, mow the lawn or swim? These are just a few examples of activities We have a conversion chart to calculate almost any activity into steps.
We will have daily draw prizes for registered striders reporting distances complete.
Online donations of $20 or more, or your $20 registration fee will generate a tax receipt sent to you by email.
