Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue responded to a scene at Strathcona Provincial Park.
A 42-year old woman fell between 20 to 30 metres off of a ridge onto the rocks at Augerpoint on Saturday.
The woman was walking with a partner, who signaled for help.
Ground Search and Rescue manager Paul Berry says the hikers were well prepared.

The woman was taken to hospital in Comox before being transported to Victoria.

The Coastal Fire Centre is thanking residents for reporting in two fires in Strathcona Park on the long weekend.

Fire Information Officer Donna MacPherson says both fires were caused by lightning.

MacPherson says reporting signs of smoke allows crews to get on top of fires quickly to prevent them from spreading.
