The Campbell River Food Bank is looking to double their size in cooler storage space.
Treasurers Debbie Willis and Jana Watt presented to council last night to ask for financial support
Watt says they are over capacity in donations with the space they currently have in their freezers.
Later during the meeting, council carried to support the society’s expanded refrigeration project by providing a one-time $20,000 grant for the purchase of refrigeration equipment.
32% of the Campbell River’s Food Bank’s clientele is under the age of 19.
