Campbell River Hospice Society’s 1st Annual Campaign

The Campbell River Hospice Society’s 1st Annual Campaign goal is to raise $75,000. These funds are critical so that we can meet the growing need for service in our community and allow us to respond quickly. The money raised will also help us implement a Sudden Loss Workshop which will provide the essential tools to help the families stay together and continue to support each other through their tragic loss. Berlin-based Canadian indie-pop band Kliffs are finishing up a fifteen city cross-Canada tour with shows in Vancouver, Victoria and Campbell River’s Rivercity Stage where they’ll be joined by long-time friends the Cumberland Brothers. Join us in our lighted garden for an evening of reflection in honour of all loved ones who have passed. You can light a lantern in the name of a loved one, take part in the outdoor fire bowl gathering with a Hospice Counsellor or just relax by our indoor fireplace and enjoy the music of local harpist Marie Harman. Complimentary hot chocolate will be available. Please come dressed for the weather.

April 2, and The first Tuesday of every month, the Elders group at WeiWaiKum (the Campbell River Indian Band) holds a Bingo fundraiser at the Thunderbird hall to raise money for Elders travel and recreational activities. Everyone is welcome, there are door prizes, 50/50 draw, and there is always a concession with great food. So mark the first Tuesday of every month to come to BINGO! Doors open at 4:30, Bingo starts at 6.
